    • My service on the American Red Cross Scientific Advisory Council was to come to end in June of 2015. I was appointed in May of 2005 to a three year appointment to serve of the Council. You can serve for up to three appointments and then you are automatically rotated off the Council. I was told by the Chair of the Aquatic Sub-Council that because of my contributions to the American Red Cross over the nine years I was asking to serve an additional three year term. This has happened only once before in the history of the Aquatics Sub-Council so I am quite honored. To show the impact the Aquatic Sub-Council of the American Red Cross Scientific Advisory Council the following are some of the numbers of participants we impact on a yearly basis.
